The Accounts Payable Assistant ensures the efficient monitoring and processing of accounts payable and the prompt payment of both suppliers and employees.

If hired, you will be responsible for:

  • Receiving and verifying completed documents for payment processing;
  • Ensuring invoices are:
    • Authorized for payment and matched to purchase orders where applicable; and
    • Recorded and entered in the system using appropriate account codes and that payments are posted on the system appropriately;
  • Responding to all inquiries related to invoices/payments, answering telephone calls and emails, and liaising with relevant departments as necessary to ensure inquiries are dealt with in a professional and timely manner;
  • Performing administrative duties such as typing, photocopying, scanning, printing and filing;
  • Assisting with account reconciliations as well as identifying and correcting accounting errors; and
  • Performing other tasks as required by the program and the company.
