QUALIFICATIONS
- With at least 3 years of experience as a registered nurse
- BOSH-trained and certified
- Must have experienced as a senior/charge nurse
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure and can make sound decisions during stressful situations
- Masteral units preferred but not required
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Nurse is a pivotal role that combines direct patient care with comprehensive leadership and administrative duties, leading with confidence and implementing programs and strategies that help create a healthy work environment.
- Patient Care and Administrative Duties
- Provide quality care during clinic visits, including dispensing medications, and respond promptly to health and safety emergencies
- Properly handle and maintain the confidentiality of patient records
- Maintain a regular inventory and ensure sufficient clinic supplies and medicines
- Ensure safe and organized medical records for employees/patients
- Process pre-employment physical exams and annual physical exam results.
- Handle timely availment verifications related to HMO payment processing and manage contract renewals for HMO, PPE, and APE providers
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting to relevant government offices
- Document and update records
- Leadership and Staff Management
- Lead with confidence, creating a positive work environment.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of staff nurses, ensuring high-quality patient care delivery
- Mentor and guide new nurses, supporting their development and integration into the team.
- Take charge of hiring new nurses and conducting their initial training. Oversee senior nurses who assist in training, ensuring new hires master clinic processes.
- Delegate tasks effectively, prioritizing duties for each shift. Ensure adequate 24/7 shift coverage by managing staff schedules.
- Collaborate with inter-professional teams to implement quality improvement plans and interventions. Actively participate in clinical risk and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to and participate in creating clinic programs relevant to the workplace.
- Act as a mediator for staff disputes or patient-related issues, maintaining professionalism, managing conflicts calmly, and making sound decisions to resolve issues.
- Operational and Financial Management
- Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Develop and update clinic policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery.
- Report directly to the Nurse Manager, providing necessary updates and reports, especially concerning health and safety standards and subordinate performance.
- Conduct and monitor regular archiving of records.
- Monitor near-misses and error reports, initiating improvement strategies and action plans to enhance occupational health nursing practices.
