QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field
  • CA, CPA, or equivalent from a recognized international accounting body required
  • Must have at least 3 years of qualified financial accounting experience, with the following as advantages:
    • International accounting or commercial experience
    • Knowledge and application of IFRS or AASB
    • Tax knowledge
    • Experience in working in a multi-currency environment and consolidation of subsidiaries
    • Experience working in a medium to large organization
    • Experience in project & timesheet driven with a multinational element or multiple locations
  • Excellent communication skills; proficient in written and verbal English
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Must be a critical thinker with good analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • A growth mindset with the desire to keep learning
    • Resilient and persistent; calm and productive even when under pressure from deadlines
    • Flexible and adaptive to changing environments
    • Self-starter with positive can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and focus on teamwork and customer service
  • Good technical skills—able to navigate through smartphone and computer applications
    • A working knowledge of a variety of software application including advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Experience in Oracle and FCCS systems an advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Financial Accountant’s role is predominately technical- and analytics-based, responsible for the accurate production and reporting of financial results and maintenance of accounting records.

If hired, your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Dealing directly with high volume, urgent and highly confidential issues
  • Working autonomously and taking the initiative to drive issues to resolution
  • Managing and prioritizing varied and conflicting demands to deliver high quality outputs within set deadlines
  • Managing numerous stakeholders and establishing effective, professional working relationships with high standards of customer service
  • Focusing on process improvement and innovating in a fast-paced working environment
