Multilingual call center Open Access BPO officially launched its new employee-geared wellness initiative aimed at encouraging and supporting healthier habits among its workforce.
The three-month program, dubbed SHIFT: An OABPO Lifestyle Modification Program, kicked off with a company-wide orientation on July 30, 2025. The event was held at the company’s Makati headquarters in the Robinsons Summit Center on Ayala Avenue and was also live-streamed for employees in its Davao office and other remote teams.
Senior Director of Operations Nate Martinez opened the session by highlighting SHIFT‘s core mission: Help employees build sustainable habits that align with the demands of their dynamic work environment.
According to Princes Ann Louisse Pascual, Company Nurse from the Clinical Services team that spearheaded the development of the health program, SHIFT focuses on sustainable behavior change and promotes accessible wellness practices within the workplace.
She emphasized that business process outsourcing (BPO) employees are particularly susceptible to sedentary routines due to the nature of their work, which often involves long hours of sitting and limited physical activity.
SHIFT, Pascual explained, is a proactive step toward combating this, offering accessible wellness practices that support physical fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being.

Over the next three months, SHIFT will feature a diverse lineup of activities, including yoga and Zumba sessions led by specialized instructors Nancy Siy and Gerald De Asis.
In addition to these movement-based classes, the program will offer stress management workshops, sound healing, and health education to provide a holistic approach to wellness.
Participants who register for the program will receive guided support, with regular sessions and weigh-ins to help them track their progress. The company has extended the registration deadline to August 8, 2025, to give more employees the opportunity to join.
